Under the patronage of His Excellency, the Belgian Ambassador to Luxembourg, we celebrate the 4th successful completion of the Solvay Finance Tour on April 26th at Cercle Munster.
We would be here now and until the masks came off. For both the Alumni and future graduates as the 2022 Solvay Finance Tour illustrates.
This year we have received 47 candidates from which we selected the best 20 students of which 15 withstood the strong selection criteria and program.
Many thanks to Luxembourg for Finance, the LHoFT, PwC Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, as well as UBS, ING Luxembourg, Arendt and Aperam to host the 7 workshops this year.

Fifty years ago, our alumnus Jean Hamilius made it to the Helsinki Winter Olympic Games. He qualified for the final 400m and 4x 400m relay, making 6th and 5th place!

The Luxembourg Finance Tour & Game produced a winner from an impressive cohort of Solvay finance students!
We are delighted to offer Nicola Menardo 34 carefully selected finance ‘must read’ books. Nicola currently studies to complete his Master degree in Business Engineering at Solvay Brussels School (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and has been an avid #machinelearning user, in addition to his apprenticeship at a #crypto trading firm.
We salute the efforts from Gilles Grijspeerdt Hautain as well as Anna Bogatyreva which were close runners up to this 1’000 euro prize!
And of course we honor those students which successfully completed the program : Ganaël Plumier, Mbomasi Jean Goy, Yakoub Bouyahji, Julien Dereck, Margaux Roussel, Ugo Simonneau, Adam Zerrouk, Mei Ji, Jimmy Macaulay and Ghadi Kahil.
Yet again we witnessed the great enthusiasm at Solvay Brussels School Student Finance Club and in particular Alexandre Verstreken and Zakaria El Abdouni which made the 2021 edition a true success! Punctual, pragmatic, and considerate of their fellows, the leadership traits needed to make things happen 😉
Every year we express our contribution to Luxembourg’s financial community through the Solvay Finance Tour. Committing to a steep learning curve for the Solvay Brussels School and Solvay Business School (VUB) Business Engineering students also helps prepare them to shape the global future.
As times have been enduring for students as well, it was more relevant than before to press ahead with our 2021 edition. In doing so, we need not forget the continued efforts of those who revealed their dedication yet again, and without whom this endeavor would not be possible.
Un grand merci to Regis Malcourant, Philipp von Restorff, François Masquelier, Damien Degros and of course Maurice Bauer for making this edition a success!
An invigoration Solvay Finance Tour concluding its sixth workshop this year with kind and uplifting words from Damien Degros.
Damien shared precious career advice on how to learn when failing, seeking a mentor, and putting ’08 en 2020 client conversations in perspective. We were, as always, delighted to have him onboard!
Many thanks of course to Aurélie DAGUENET and Diane Denninger from ING Luxembourg for their continued support and making this happen!
Our professionals are invited to come to address the Solvay Finance Club students to motivate them in pursuing a career in the financial industry and share the experience they may need to guide them.
As per tradition we provide the necessary food for thought and welcome our Alumni for the annual dinner at House 17.
