Meeting with HE Belgian Ambassador

Solvay Alumni granted audience by Belgian Ambassador Thomas Lambert

Under the patronage of H.E. Thomas Lambert and First Advisor Emmanuelle de Foy, we gathered with befriended associations that help maintain and foster the strong relations between Belgian and Luxembourgish communities in the Grand Duchy.

This forum continues to allow us to share our projects, ideas as well as opportunities from next year and build a vision to 2024, allowing us to strengthen the opportunity set for Solvay Alumni in collaboration with LA LIEGEOISE and URB-BKV as well as VCL – Vlaamse Club Luxemburg.

Nicola Menardo wins the 2021 Solvay Finance Tour

The Luxembourg Finance Tour & Game produced a winner from an impressive cohort of Solvay finance students!

We are delighted to offer Nicola Menardo 34 carefully selected finance ‘must read’ books. Nicola currently studies to complete his Master degree in Business Engineering at Solvay Brussels School (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and has been an avid #machinelearning user, in addition to his apprenticeship at a #crypto trading firm.

We salute the efforts from Gilles Grijspeerdt Hautain as well as Anna Bogatyreva which were close runners up to this 1’000 euro prize!

And of course we honor those students which successfully completed the program : Ganaël Plumier, Mbomasi Jean Goy, Yakoub Bouyahji, Julien Dereck, Margaux Roussel, Ugo Simonneau, Adam Zerrouk, Mei Ji, Jimmy Macaulay and Ghadi Kahil.

Yet again we witnessed the great enthusiasm at Solvay Brussels School Student Finance Club and in particular Alexandre Verstreken and Zakaria El Abdouni which made the 2021 edition a true success! Punctual, pragmatic, and considerate of their fellows, the leadership traits needed to make things happen 😉

BG

An Association here for its members, supported by LFF, PwC, Atel and LSE

Every year we express our contribution to Luxembourg’s financial community through the Solvay Finance Tour. Committing to a steep learning curve for the Solvay Brussels School and Solvay Business School (VUB) Business Engineering students also helps prepare them to shape the global future.

As times have been enduring for students as well, it was more relevant than before to press ahead with our 2021 edition. In doing so, we need not forget the continued efforts of those who revealed their dedication yet again, and without whom this endeavor would not be possible.

Un grand merci to Regis Malcourant, Philipp von Restorff, François Masquelier, Damien Degros and of course Maurice Bauer for making this edition a success!
